The major Information Retrieval 4 assignment for 2001 was the design and publication of an Internet-based Subject Directory.

The full-time student group worked collaboratively with the University of Durban-Westville SA Literary Hertitage project to produce the SA Literature Online Subject Directory.

Additionally they contributed to a set of pilot learning materials on Nelson Mandela for the Durban Metro CommInfoLink project.

Each member of the part-time evening group produced an individual subject directory.
